- It involves trekking for about 2-5 hours through the steep forest of Bwindi in search of gorillas. Travelers, therefore, should be physically fit to conduct this moderately demanding activity.
- The safari is suitable for all categories of people, such as large groups, couples, families with kids, youths, and solo travelers. However, gorilla tracking is allowed for persons aged 16 years and above.

Itinerary
Upon your arrival in Uganda and concluding the immigration process, you will be warmly received by a company guide or driver, who will transfer you to your reserved accommodation in Entebbe town.

The day will commence with an early morning breakfast before embarking on an incredibly thrilling road drive (about 3-4 hours) to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, located in Nakasongola district. Along the way, you will stop at Luwero fruit market (roadside market), where you can taste a selection of delicious organic fruits locally grown.
At Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, you will enjoy 1-2 hours of a walking safari through the Sanctuary while tracking the white rhinos. The Sanctuary is home to more than 30 white rhinos, along with other numerous wildlife species, including over 300 species of birds. To participate in a rhino tracking adventure at Ziwa Sanctuary, you will have the opportunity to explore the natural habitat of the white rhinos on foot, accompanied by well-trained armed rangers. This exclusive adventure offers a once-in-a-lifetime glimpse of these endangered giant creatures, allowing for an incredible wildlife viewing experience.
Following thrilling moments spent tracking rhinos, you will continue with the road drive (about 3-4 hours) to Gulu city, the largest city in northern Uganda.
After arriving, you will check into your accommodation for your overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will embark on an adventurous five-hour road trip to Kidepo Valley National Park, Uganda’s most remote and secluded wildlife conservation area. The journey takes you through stunning landscapes featuring rugged hills, vast open plains, and vibrant traditional homesteads that highlight the region’s uniqueness. This scenic route provides a unique opportunity to enjoy the untouched natural beauty and cultural richness of northeastern Uganda, making the journey memorable.
Upon your arrival in Kidepo, you will participate in the rich culture of the Karamojong people through a visit to one of their traditional homesteads. Here, you will meet local elders and engage in meaningful interactions as they introduce you to their way of life. You will explore their kraals, observe traditional grinding stones, and discover other fascinating artifacts integral to their daily lives. The Karamojong people remain deeply connected to their heritage, as reflected in their unwavering love and protection of their cattle, their distinctive attire, and the unique design of their homes. This experience will offer you an authentic glimpse into their enduring traditions and values.
The drive time from Gulu City to Kidepo Valley National Park is about 5-6 hours.

Today is devoted to exploring the pristine wilderness of Kidepo Valley National Park through thrilling morning and afternoon game drives. While driving along Kidepo's scenic trails, you will encounter an extraordinary diversity of wildlife, from towering giraffes and graceful antelopes to massive African elephants and vast buffalo herds. The experience intensifies with potential sightings of prowling lions and Kidepo's unique predators, including elusive cheetahs and distinctive striped hyenas, making this an unforgettable wildlife adventure.

After exploring northeastern Uganda, today's safari adventure takes you on a scenic 7-8-hour drive from Kidepo Valley to the renowned Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, encounter captivating views of the flat terrain with striking inselbergs and traditional Acholi homesteads, providing fascinating insights into the region's cultural heritage and striking landscapes.
Upon your arrival, you will have the rest of the evening to unwind at your lodge while enjoying breathtaking views of the surroundings.

You will spend the day exploring Uganda's largest and most varied national park, Murchison Falls National Park. After breakfast, you will enter the park and take a game drive on the northern sector's plains. While on the game drive, you can witness an astounding diversity of creatures. You will be able to see a wide variety of creatures, such as warthogs, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, patas monkeys, and many antelope species, such as Uganda kobs, bushbucks, Jackson's Hartebeests, Oribi, and waterbucks. During the game drives, you can occasionally spot other species like lions, hyenas, and leopards in the park. For those interested in birds, Murchison Falls National Park boasts numerous bird species, including the Secretary Bird and Black-chested Snake.
At 14:00, you will embark on a three-hour shared boat journey on the Victoria Nile, which will take you to the base of the Murchison Falls. As you sail along the river banks, you will be able to encounter several water-adapted animals, including crocodiles, elephants, and hippos, that gather along riverbanks to drink water and possibly escape the intense heat. Along the river's banks, one can also see numerous bird species.
Following the boat excursion, you will return to the lodge for relaxation and an overnight stay. As you drive to the lodge, you may encounter numerous animals, such as buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, and different species of antelopes.

You begin the day with an early morning breakfast and then embark on the exciting long road trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey is quite long (about 8-9 hours), but you will find it less tiring since there are numerous exciting encounters as you drive along. First, the journey takes you through an extended part of Bugungu Reserve, home to several animal species. Baboons and monkeys frolicking along the roadside will captivate you. The Butiaba escapement offers breathtaking views of Lake Albert's winding landscape and the meandering road. You may have stopovers along the journey at the tea and banana plantations, which are exceptional sights.
The journey includes brief scenic stops where you will photograph breathtaking landscapes and potentially interact with local farmers. Following lunch in Fort Portal City, you'll proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in time to settle in at your accommodation for an overnight stay.

Today, you will explore Queen Elizabeth National Park with a morning game drive over the Kasenyi Plains. The wide range of animal and avian species found in the northern region of Queen Elizabeth National Park is remarkable. During the game-viewing expedition, you will see a variety of species, such as antelopes (waterbucks, Uganda kobs, and bushbucks), elephants, buffaloes, lions, and warthogs, among others.
Right after your successful exploration of Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will proceed to Bwindi for the main highlight of the safari-gorilla tracking. Bwindi Forest boasts tremendous biodiversity and is home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. While traveling, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the distinctive landscape and the undulating terraced hills.

After an early morning breakfast, you will take a short drive to the briefing center in time for the 8:00 am start of the briefing. Experienced Park rangers conduct the briefing exercise to provide guidelines and rules to the tracking participants. Following the briefing, a specific habituated gorilla family will be assigned to you, with other 7 participants, to embark on an exciting trekking expedition through steep and heavily forested slopes until you eventually locate the gorillas within the dense forest.
Upon locating the gorilla family, you will have one precious hour to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. This privileged encounter allows you to photograph the gorillas as they forage, play, and interact - an unforgettable opportunity to witness their daily behaviors and social dynamics.
After the gorilla trekking experience, you will return to the lodge for relaxation and an overnight stay.

Following the unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure, travel to the scenic Lake Mburo National Park – a true hidden gem renowned for its breathtaking scenery and diverse wildlife. After enjoying lunch in Mbarara City, proceed to the park, arriving in the late afternoon.
Upon arrival, embark on a unique guided walking safari – an experience exclusive to Lake Mburo, as it is the only protected area in Uganda where such encounters are permitted. During this immersive 3-hour nature walk, you’ll have extraordinary close-up encounters with wildlife, including impalas, waterbucks, topis, elands, oribis, bushbucks, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and warthogs, as well as a wide array of birdlife.
The drive time from Bwindi to Lake Mburo National Park is about 4-5 hours.

In the morning, you will socially interact with the Bahima (pastoralists) and actively participate in herding Ankole cows (long-horned cattle). Participating in Ankole cow herding gives you a hands-on opportunity to learn about cattle management, a tradition passed down through generations. Under the guidance of experienced local herders, you will learn the various methods of herding and guiding the cows.
Following your enriching interaction with the Bahima community, you'll begin your journey to Entebbe Airport for your departure. En route, we'll make a brief stop at the Kayabwe Equator Monument, where you can capture memorable photos straddling this significant geographical line and witness fascinating demonstrations of equatorial phenomena. The experiments show how water swirls in opposite directions on either side of the equator line.
While these entertaining demonstrations aren't scientifically proven, they provide a delightful and educational insight into the unique properties of our planet's equatorial region.
The drive time from Lake Mburo National Park to Entebbe Airport is about 6 hours.
