While the higher regions, such as the Rwenzori Mountains and the southwestern part of the country, have colder temperatures, the northern and eastern plains are often drier than the central and western regions. The central part of Uganda, which includes Kampala and Entebbe, has a generally warm and humid climate with occasional afternoon precipitates.
